Hmmm... if it's just a common cold (I seem to have one myself right now... all snot and head congestion), then stick to cold and flu medicines. If it gets worse, by all means, go to the doctor... could be a virus or bacteria. If ever in doubt, see a doc.

Cold remedies that work: Chicken soup (don't know why, but it does)

Hot toddies (helps you sleep through the night)

    LOTS OF FLUIDS and vitamins.

    Hope you feel better.

Although what I am suggesting is not a "medicine," it always makes the length of my cold shorter and less uncomfortable.

I purchased "EMERGEN-C Super Energy Booster which contains 1000 mg of VITAMIN C as 7 Mineral Ascorbates and 32 Mineral Complexes plus 8 vitamins.

It is a powder (THAT FIZZES IN WATER) in a individual package. I love the "Super Orange" flavor. I PURCHASE IT AT MY LOCAL WALMART.

I actually take it everyday - three times a day. (not just when I am sick) It is acid free and tastes wonderful! Good luck!
