I need a root canal....?

I need a root canal on my 2nd molar on the top right side. I live in St. Louis MO. I was just wondering if anyone knew the approximate cost of it because I don't have dental insurance. I'm hoping that I can afford it after my income tax refund comes back.

Update:

I would also like to hear from anyone who has had one and how the pain was...all I've heard is how awful it is.

Now a days root canals are pretty much painless. You take the medicines they give you and you'll be fine.

Here in NJ it costs about $600-$800 on average for a root canal. Then you will need a crown. They run from $800-$1450 that I've seen. Hope you get this taken care of. You'll be fine. :)

A root canal in your area averages $800-900. However there are options so that you don't have to pay full price out of pocket.

Here is a link to our pricing schedule in your area...

You can search for providers in your area by going to http://providersearch.ameriplanusa.com/StateForm.a...

If you have any other questions, or would simply like to know more, feel free to contact me through my profile page here and I can send you the extra info needed. Oh and BTW~ it's only $19.95/mo. to get the dental savings coverage stated above.

    Hope that helps!

Typically for a back molar the cost runs between $500 to $860. Go to costhelper.com. You should also contact a few Dentists to see what THEY charge.

Between now and then use HYDROGEN PEROXIDE to mouthwash and brush with. It heals like crazy any and all types or oral infections, tenderness or canker sores.

I healed an infection that run up to the corner of my eye after having a new crown done on my front teeth. Completely healed.

I have used it daily for 42 years and healed, flossing tenderness, infection, canker sores, tender bumps on my tongue and it works well on garlic breath also.

This might very well help keep it under control until you get your check.

    I have had several.

In my opinion the hype about how horrible they are is slanted.

It isn't a picnic, but if your novicane is admistered properly, your pain level should be low.

I have jaw issues and having that thing in my mouth that keeps your mouth open was the worst. my jaw was hurting way worse than anything in my mouth.

It was $800.00 here in Virginia.
