How about a proper sun-tan. Your right about sunbeds but fake tans make people look like the Tango man.

The best tanning cream i have used is Johnsons holiday sun, for my legs the rest of me is tanned nicely!

All three, plus tanning paint.....had to paint a tan, (three coats) for my bodybuilding shows. It's applied with a small paint brush. Nothing else gets your dark enough. The bright stage lights will wash you out it you're not as dark as you can get.
