Definetely the Cubs, the White Sox are just not in that position, particularly in the AL.

The White Sox because The Cubs Blew a Fuse today by losing to the Nationals Hah hah, White Sox won in 2005 so They have Succeed where the Cubs have failed Year after Year After Year Since 1908, and The Pale Hose won twice since the Cubbies last won it all they also won in 1917, so If Its the Brewers and White Sox The South Siders will win, If Its The Cubs and Rays Or Cubs and Angels The North Siders will choke and Blow another Opportunity. Sox are Champs, Cubs are Cursed and that's just how it is.

Without a doubt the Cubs, they have a great lineup and looks like Lou finally got the idea as to who is batting where, plus they got a great outfielder and power hitter in Fukudome and some of the young players that are coming up on the system some already proved that they r going to be great major leaguers like Soto, also their relief pitchers are going to be much better than last season, with Wood or Marmol as closers there are so many things why I believe the Cubs will have better chance than the Sox. But then again we are talking about the cubs. You never know what can go wrong

Definitely the Cubs...they play in arguably the easiest division in baseball while the White Sox play in one of the hardest...and the White Sox are, right now, the third best team in their division...I could see the Cubs making the playoffs but I wouldn't count on the White Sox even coming close in 2008.

Cubs by at least 20 games in the regular season. The White Sox have the best MLB team Detroit, top 5 team Cleveland, and the always pesky Twins to deal with. They have one good starter and then who? They have no speed, who's their center fielder Brian Anderson, who can't even hit a fastball. Konerko starts out slow every year, and can't run. They signed Juan Uribe who has an OBP of .250. I will say that their bullpen is absolutely sick.
The Cubs have to deal with the Brewers and maybe a suprisng Cincy, Houston should be formidable as well. The Cubs have 8 guys trying to become starters, and some other great talent they will probably use to pick up a good #2 starter some time before the trading dead line, maybe sooner. Jon Lieber whould win 10 games as the number 5 starter. The Cubs will win 95 games, White Sox 64
And all you band wagon Sox fans, why don't you actually go to the games this year, The Cubs will win 5/6 this year and you will finish 2nd worst team in baseball.

The White Sox made not even one smart decision during the offseason.. they got Carlos Quentin and Nick Swisher as their last big deals, neither of them can hit above .260 and they let go of a inning eater Garland for Cabrera. Cabrera is a great shortstop but you just took 200 guaranteed innings out of your rotation and now your bullpen is gonna get exhausted.
The Cubs were on the right track last year but just got wore down by fighting off the Brewers all season and couldn't even win a game in the playoffs. But with as bad as the Central is I think they could win that division by accident. Cause their only competition is the Brewers and one injury to either Fielder, Sheets or Braun and there goes their season.
Cubs easily!!!!!!

The Cubs have a better chance than the Sox do, mostly because the White Sox have teams like Boston and the Yankees to deal with in the AL.
