I'm pretty sure that if you sign up for revolution money exchange, you can transfer from member to member instantly and for free. However, in order for you to fund your revolution money exchange account and for him to withdraw the funds you guys will both need to link your checking information which can take a few days. After everything is set up though, this can be a great way to instantly transfer money between yourself and your son. 2-3 business days is pretty common for most banks though, including online ones such as ING Direct. To add to that, it usually takes awhile for the initial account opening process. How urgent does your son need the money?

Not that I've heard of, and honestly it is not something to take care of at such a short notice. I don't know where you live, but there's think bank called Wells Fargo, that has a cool online feature. You and your son, both need to have accounts there, which you both can set up online. You can transfer funds to his account through online transfer. So, even though his name is not on your account, as long as he is a Wells Fargo account holder, you can send him money (of course you need his account number). As for your opening deposit, if there are no Wells Fargos in your area, you can mail in your deposit.

    Good Luck

Yes, there are several. Online search for internet banking; then, take your choice. Make sure you know what you need and want, before signing up.

None that you would be able to use right away. If you have Paypal, use that or go send him money via western union.
