Ok i no you dont want to hear this but you might have to pop it. All that green and brown looking stuff is probably puss, i know sorry a little nasty, if you dont pop it that will stay in there and might get infected. If your afraid it might hurt then take a tiny needle and poke it, slowly the "stuff" will come out and eventually it will dry out and scab over.

Make sure to clean the needle with soap or something clean so your not putting a dirty needle into your skin. Also make sure that you put band aid or something to keep it from getting it infected while its open, but at the same time make sure that its getting enough air to dry all that nasty stuff out.

If popping it doesnt doesnt work then, put peroxide on it to dry it from the outside in. If that doesnt work then you might have to go to the doc. but try popping it first that might help.

    Hope i helped :)

Good idea not to pop it! You need to soak it in the hottest salt water you can, for about 20 minutes at a time. Lots of salt, okay? Then put neosporin on it or any other antibiotic ointment; and cover it with a bandaid. Then if it doesn't start to get better by tomorrow, go to your school nurse or show your parents so they can get you in to the doc. You do not want to lose your thumb, sweetie!

Be sure to soak, then cover it, wait a few hours, and soak and cover it again. You have an infection and it sounds as if it's a pretty nasty one. Take care!
