Teaching Engish Grammar? where to begin? any links?
Hi! I'm teaching someone English, he already speaks the language, but isn't very well with grammar since he never took a course. I'm not sure where to begin...with verbs, adj, prepositions, ...I'm stuck don't know what to do first. I'll start in about a week, I just want to have a mini lesson plan.
I would appreciate any links or suggestions. (Beginners and basic conversational phrases are of no use since he already knows most of it, I'm just teaching the grammar now)
Thank you in advace!

Start w/the parts of speech.
1. Nouns
2. Pronouns
3. Adjectives
4. Verbs
5. Adverbs
6. Prepositions
7. Conjunctions
8. Interjections
This is the order I do w/freshmen English.
I would also push subject/verb agreement.

I would assume that the 'awful people' were taught grammar by a teacher. And here I thought I'd find out, based on your question, who taught awful people like Hitler. Your question alone has the adjective in the wrong place - awful people can have good grammar. If you're asking about who taught people awful grammar, then that's another matter entirely. I'm poking fun. If you want to correct someone's grammar, become a school teacher, volunteer, or something productive. Be part of the solution, don't just ***** about the problem.

Start with nouns,proper-nouns, then verbs, conjunctions, adjectives then adverbs. This is typically enough for basic grammar.
I would go to your local teachers store and buy a 1st and 2nd grade Grammar book.
