Do you agree that when "View Discretion is Advised" is warned the program is bound to be good?

I definitely do. Whenever I see that warning, I think, "hell yes! This is gonna be good!"

I don't agree. That's not to say that I disagree... I just don't think that it's an indicator of quality at all.

I'm not a prude; in fact I sometimes revel in the shock and disgust of certain brands of humor, or am in awe of the guts/violence shown on medical/crime/war documentaries.

But just because the voice says that viewer discretion is advised doesn't mean that I'll find the program interesting.

You Americans are over protected, local TV News here in Honduras shows it as it is. What in the States would be shown in a clip of maybe 15 seconds, will be viewed here for several minuets. Much more detail that is need.

This is weird, but whenever i see a movie on in the afternoon that says P.G or G... i always get excited!! :)

I lurve lurve the kids movies they show on weekends in the afternoons (not sure if they play them there)

But movies like my dog skip and stuff like that.

I come home from work or on the weekend i want to relax. I hate full on shows like crime shows etc. Thats why I watch so much kids stuff!

No, because when a show sucks, it sucks no matter what it's rated, and sometimes they add a warning anyway just to get us to watch it, even if there's nothing worth warning us about on it.

    Yes!

I love Nip/Tuck and the Shield on FX.

It is hard to go back to the boring, "safe" shows after that!!

Nope ... plenty of BAD television shows with a "Viewer Discretion" warning.

...ever watched "Cops" ?? ... "Jerry Springer" ? ... that ain't exactly GOOD tv (in my opinion)

medical studies cause that is a not using discretion

some one should warn him rather,,[PLEASE MAKE SURE][PMS] !!!

YOU KNOW WHAT YOU TALK ABOUT !!

some men have no respect for young girls much less older women !!

LOL. Absolutely. It is like they put a flashing neon sign over the TV screen saying "Hey!!!! Look at this!!!!!!"

    ha, ha!

I think the same exact thing!

I mean, if it's not good for little kids or average people to watch, then it's worth it!
