Pain in left leg calf muscle?

Hi, I have left leg calf muscle pain it happens only in left leg. I showed it to doctor he said its probably because of vitamin/minerals deficiency and asked me to take vitamins, and to drink milk. it became better but difference is not much it has been 1.5 months since I am taking vitamins. Sometime I feel its because of AC in my office and cold weather. It is happening since last 5-6 months or even more. I am a software engineer and sit in office from 9.00 to 5.00. I am worried about it please let me know why it happens, if I should go to a doctor which type of doctor should I visit?

try eating some bananas. ur potassium may be to low. They help with leg craps. Feel ur leg where the pain is. It could be a sist. Give it a little longer then have it checked again.

Since u sit alot it could be because u are inactive. Try walking on ur breaks, or excersie using ur legs, I.e. bike riding, running. You could also have bad blood circulation, vitamin E helps with that.

This happens to me a lot, usually because I am not stretching my calf muscles out enough. Try a stretch: 1. face a wall and place both hands on the wall 2. place your left leg behind you so that it is stretching (make sure your foot is flat on the ground) 3. press on your left foot for 20 secs then take pressure off of it 4. do this on a regular basis and cramps and pains will lessen then go away Hope this helps!

orthopedics if anyone, they are a soft-tissue/muscle doctor..i went to a chiropractor for a knee problem and they were able to help me, so either of those, but u probably have better odds with a orthopedics, emphasis the duration of ur problem to them however, if u just walk in mentioning ur problem they will send u out saying "give it a few weeks and here take this medicine" tell them everything uve done to help it and emphasize how long its been so they actually consider it a problem if there is one instead of just sending you on ur way.

Stretch that puppy out, I get the same thing when Im sitting in front of the PC too long, or just after work when I get home, heat rubs and stretching work for me.

try doing stretches. it could also be a potassium deficiency (which you can get from bananas), or that you are dehydrated. you would have to get blood work done to see if you have any serious vitamin shortages.
