Why won't the news discuss the worldwide protests against Scientology?

Update:

Many miss my point. Scientology has every right to exist. My question involves why a world-wide protest is not reported.

Other than for a small segment of the mega-rich elite, Scientology has no impact on society as a whole. Thus, it serves little or no importance to the general public.

As for that cheap-shot, false comparison between Scientology and Islamic militancy, I do not know of any Scientologists committing acts of terror against innocent civilians nor taking up arms against their governments. Idiocy at its finest.

Because no one cares? Scientology is a "religion" of what, like 6 people? They hardly have enough pull to do anything.

EDIT - does the protest against them actually threaten their existence? You have to remember that religions only have the "right to exist" in SOME countries. Many countries don't have freedom of religion.....that's what's so great about America.

Give me one reason (using empirical evidence) why their belief is any more absurd than yours.

You believe a mystical ghost from the sky made people from dirt, and they were immortal at first, but then they ate off a magical tree... I think you get my point. Let them believe what they believe, and carry on about YOUR OWN business.

Edit: Why isn't it reported? Because the protest is ill-founded, and reporting on it would be a waste of resources spent only on making the ignorant famous.

Because most people don't understand what they teach, including me.I think a worldwide dicussion on Scientology would go a long way to understand that religion(if in fact, that's what it is) or philosophy.

What's the point? In any case this country has freedom of religion and association... unless the group is overtly treasonous, subversive, or a danger to the public one has the right to belong... no matter how inane, stupid or irrelevant it is.

It is because we live in a world where it has become a de facto crime to offend someone other than white christians.
