have you check your device output. try examine is the speaker in the headphones is torn, if it torn then maybe something in your backpack has torn it. or maybe have you carrying thing that have magnetics field, magnetics field can cause damage to electronics devices although not instantly. my handphone is stop working because i accidently put it beside a strong magnetics.
