How can I get the grout on my kitchen floor clean?

OH I HEAR YOU!!!!!! What were they THINKING!! WHITE grout and KIDS??? I am half tempted to tell everyone it is SUPPOSE to be that color... but other areas would prove me wrong... so... here is what I do with a large tile kitchen and dining room floor AND counters: To get them clean; the old fashion tooth brush and soft scrub with bleach is the fastest and best way I have found (and I have tried them ALL). Rinse the floor really really good... Next: remember that the soap scum left over from mopping is partly to blame for attracting more dirt! Avoid the typical cleaners. Mop with water and a little bleach... works wonderfully. I also just bought a light weight steam mop (the Shark) that does not use any cleaner.... just steam! It is so easy to use and my floors are staying AWESOME! No harsh chemicals, no left over soap... the proof is in how they feel in bare feet! I hope that works for you too!!!

Edit: Be careful with the suggestion of using a strong bleach solution! While your floor will be fine, you will be BREATHING that in - not to mention what it does to your SKIN.

Once you get that grout clean seal it. This will help keep it looking good with less work.

wear old clothes for thih get a strong bleach solution in pail with a good scrub brush on our hands and knees take brush and scrud hard as you go take dry cloth and wipe dry our floor will look great

Tilex works best.

Should steam off, use a wall paper steamer. this will soften it, then scrape off
