What's the difference between an asteroid and a planetoid?

    Generally size would be the difference, a planetoid being considered larger. However there is no technical distinction. Think of an asteroid as a "stone" and a planetoid as a "rock".

    An asteroid is like a mini planet. The largest asteroids are called planetoids.

    asteroid is left over junk from a planet

    planetoid is a planet that is drifting in space couz it lost its pull from its sun
