The grand marquis will probably run mid to high 15's in the quarter mile, which is around what an automatic v6 coupe mustang can do. The stick shift does a little bit better. If it's a GT or better, the grand marquis will stand no chance.

Weight and gearing are a much bigger factor than people realize. That's why the v6 would stand a chance against the v8 powered sedan
