I've been vegetarian for 3 years...
The only side effects I had when I first started was a sudden boost of energy and productivity and just feeling better all over in general... Also, not getting sick almost ever, losing lots of unnecessary weight, contributing to ending world hunger and animal abuse.. If any of these sound appealing you'll get all of them and more.
Also, most of the answerers on here are talking about how meat is your main source of protein bla bla bla... you just might want to know that American meat eaters get more than 200% of their daily recommended protein intake, which is why we have such high heart attack and obesity rates. You can get all the protein you need from a hearty serving of beans or nuts each day.

Talk to your medical professional first. That's the nice tip i will be able to provide. Additionally, read up on vitamins and minerals and what your physique needs. All fruits and veggies will result in severe diarrhea issues. You need to have protein in your body to outlive. If you don't take in protein, your body will steal it out of your muscle groups, together with your heart muscle. One solution to make a whole protein, without meat, is to consume a combo meal of rice and beans (esp. Kidney beans). But talk to a doc or a nutritionist to discover how much of what meals YOU must drop some pounds. Take into account, shedding muscle mass will look like weight loss on the size, however muscle tissue is not what you are trying to lose.

it is healthy for a short term effect, in which case yes you would lose weight. you need protein in your diet too and some carbs but some fruit does have carbs in it because of the sugar. it would be ok for a very short term effect. be careful, ok?

Add a couple of eggs, couple yogurt..and a piece of skinless boneless chicken. This will pretty much do it.. also take a good multi vitamin... this works for me! ♥

you need protein to build muscle and to stabilize blood sugar levels.
So you would become skrawney and faint if you cut protein.
