Kelly Pavlik defeated Jermain Taylor by unanimous decision with scores of 117-111, 116-112, and 115-113.

Kelly Pavlik won by Unanimous decision but Jermaine Taylor made some good adjustments and did a good job of keeping himself off of the ropes. With the exception of taking one bad body punch he was able to execute his plan pretty good and withstand most of Pavliks power. He wasn't busy enough to win the fight but it was a moral victory for him coming off of a knock out.

Pavlik. I had it 116-112. Taylor just doesn't have the stamina to fight 3 full minutes for 12 rounds - he just CAN'T do it! He fought the best he can and still lost. Pavlik can still fight better. I think he will develop a better body attack now, and be better still when someone is giving good head defense.
