Fasting for clearity of the mind?

I'm not really religious, but I am seeking clarity of the mind and body. Does anyone have any experience doing this by fasting? Any suggestions? I'm thinking about doing this one day a week.

I'm not sure that one day will do it.

I usually don't start to see a difference till around the 4th day.

After that it can be stunning.

Be careful to keep your self well hydrated.

It is also a good Idea to have something on hand to keep your blood sugar from crashing.

I suggest the formula that is called the lemon cleanse. It has just enough calories to keep you from getting in trouble.

    Just google lemon cleanse.

You should really ask your doctor before you go much over 3 days. Things can get very different after that.

Actually, I think it's something you may wish to avoid.

Hunger and lack of food causes many bodily changes. For instance, your heart rate, breathing rate, and body composition may change, even if is is only temporary. Because of this, your brain will not function as it normally would, causing more stress unto your mind and body -- and therefore, more stress in the mind, will lead to less clarity of thought.

The real way in which to acheive mental clarity by eating, is eating healthily. Eat fresh foods without preservatives or crap in them, and this will offer vitamins and nutrients that are vital to brain health. In doing so, you'll be healthier both physically and mentally.
