Why is my dog sniffing our..........?
About a week ago my dog starting sniffing our feet, shoes and arms all the time. It is very annoying. Anyone know why. He is 5+ yrs old, and he has never done this. Any ideas why?

Here are some hypotheses...
1. Have you been visiting someone else's home where you remove your shoes before walking in? Even if you are walking around in socks, and their home is clean/well-vacuumed, your socks (because of the ever-present perspiration that is impossible to completely stop) will pick up dirt/pollutants from their carpets and floors (that you probably won't even see). When you put your shoes back on, then the hidden dirt/pollutants combine with your natural perspiration to create new odours in your shoes. Your dog can smell these odours (they can detect scents something like less than 1/100th of the slightest smell you can).
2. Some dogs have detected skin cancer on their owners. Must be that cancer lesions emit a peculiar odour that dogs can detect.
3. You might have gotten some kind of food or animal odour present that was never in your home before.
4. Your arms could get odour transferred from your feet/shoes if you touch your arms after touching your feet.
