Can you help me to translate...?

Are other contributors mildly amused when they see, "Can you help me to translate..." when the questionner clearly has no idea whatsover and really means, "Please translate from scratch."?

Not amused. Just resigned! I suppose that "Could you help me by doing my translation" would be more honest.

Hi, Second language is definitions fast compiled and slowly conceptualized, since we study it, not interact it.

JJ is probably the best available source to do the correcting as we go along.

resigned is a good answer, but I started the same way before learning languages..
