How do I manage my tracks on my iPod thru i Tunes?

I'm talking about how I have complete albums but they are not in the correct track order!!! How do I change the file name so that this can be remedied? I've already tried putting the track # in front of the name (01, 02, 03 etc.) that doesn't work, but curiously it did somewhat change the order. help

    in iTunes right click on the song hit get info and on the right of the screen that pops itll say track order just put what number it is for the album
