You can do it with your current keyboard with English characters. Pls find below the link where you can find some Punjabi fonts. Install them and use the keymap (word files) to figure how the English letters on the keyboard map to the Punjabi characters.
You can use any word processor software (MS Word) and select the installed font instead of the usual ones Arial, Times New Roman and start typing in Punjabi.
