I plan on going to law school, but are sports agents lawyers? does anyone know what type of degree you need to be a sports agent, especially for the MLB?

I know a lot of Sports Agents are lawyers and its understandable why.
Look into Scott Boras, he is one of the best agents out there and he attended law school. Although I'm not sure why (considering it doesn't really pertain to sports) Boras specializes in medical litigation.
