ANSWER THIS HARD RIDDLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 points~?
A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

He said, "You'll sentence me to six years in prison." If it was true, then the judge would have to make it false by sentencing him to four years. If it was false, then he would have to give him six years, which would make it true. Rather than contradict his own word, the judge set the man free.

I'd say his statement was something on this order, he spoke in a low whispered voice in to the judge's ear and said, "Judge, you're going to do better than that. You're going to release me because you're not real anxious for people to know what your "wife's" name is that I saw you with last night."

You'll sentence me to six years in prison. Wasn't as hard as you think huh?

well actually, it doesn't matter what he says as long as its an opinion, a stated opinion has no correct or incorrect answer, thus he wasn't sentenced to 4 or 6 years.

I will be sentenced to six years in prison.
This creates a convenient impossibility.

"I plea to the fifth!"
or
"I will take the sentence of 6 years!"
Also the judge has to tell the man his rights before asking him to make a statement. It is actually a part of the law, 5th amendment. I think.
