Does Linux have Blue Ray or HD DVD support?

I was wondering if Linux has support for either of these formats or at least drivers for the hardware. I think it would be cool if you could have a distro with all of the available software (a.k.a. BSD packages) all on one disk.

Yes. HD DVD was officially killed off yesterday by Toshiba, but Linux supports it.

Linux also offers support for Blu-Ray, and software like Nero Linux 3 allows people to burn to Blu-Ray. Expect free Blu-Ray burning software in a matter of months.

Hi, thats exactly what I was searching for in the forums and I have been asking around. There is a udf 2.6 patch around for the linux kernel which supports bluray and hddvd but u need to compile your own kernel for now.

I think pretty soon all Linux distributions will support bluray though.
