lisbon:alfama or lapa campo?
i am planning a trip to lisbon the forthcoming march.
i found some great apartments in the regions of alfama and lapa campo. are these regions near the center of the city and safe?
which one would you suggest?

Alfama, Mouraria....there are several "Typical Bairros" in Lisbon but I really don't think they are the best place for you to rent an apartment.... They are near the center indeed but not so safe at night. These are places rich in traditions but also with a life of their own. You must know the "rules" and the "duties" to move in there. Great places to visit at night, NEVER alone.
If i were you I would stay in Lisbon center and visit those places to get to know the "feeling" before. They are worth a visit !!
