Dell Latitude D400 WiFi Diasabled Plz Help?
I havea D400 and I try to enable the wireless with Fn + F2 but it doesnt get enabled and still shows it is disabled and dell client prompts me to press Fn+F2 to enable , I thought there might be a problem with the card so put a Broadcom and and Intel pro set wireless and they all say that the wireless is disabled I checked the device manager and it is there and says device working properly and I couldnt find a physical switch on the Laptop that enables/disables the wireless. Is there a driver needed to be installed for that function key, other functions on the keyboard work(like volume and brightness).

I had the same problem yesterday after I installed a new HDD in my dell. just go to the support page for dell & install the driver.

Sounds to me like a hardware switch. Have you checked on the bottom? It will most likely not be a switch. But a toggle. Just fyi.
And try also enabling your numpad. Sounds wierd, but I need to do that with my laptop to enable WiFi.
Really hop this helps.
