1.) a "healthy" Pedro Martinez over an inconsistent Dice-K.

i dont believe Dice-K had a great rookie season, considering the fact that he pitched the final month of regular season with a horrible 7.62 ERA and 1.62 WHIP in five games and his inconsistency continues in the playoff with a 5.03 ERA and 1.52 WHIP. good thing Boston bailed him out every time he pitched. as for Pedro, early report indicates that he is feeling healthy after throwing 55-pitch session. so far, its a good sign but i have to wait for his performance in spring training games before even considering of drafting him.

2.) a "healthy" Randy Johnson over another inconsistent Willis.

he is having problems already with his pitching in a pitcher-friendly field in Florida and now he is moving to a hitter paradise in Detroit. red flag up... his only contribution to your team will be Wins, and that will be scary. like Pedro, Randy had said that he is okay after a bullpen session. and take note, despite his back problems, he was still able to pitch sub 4.00 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. and just like Pedro, I'll wait for Randy how will he perform in spring training games before passing judgement.

3.) Clay Buchholz over Phil Hughes.

both pitchers will have a good season this year but Phil has a huge pressure in pitching at the Yankee Stadium.

4.) Oliver Perez over Tim Hudson

simply because Perez has a solid offensive back-up (more Ws). but both pitchers will strive for a sub 4.00 ERA and 1.25 WHIP this season because Shea and Turner Field are both pitcher-friendly stadium. i just hope he will help me win again this season after picking him in the last round of the draft last season.

1-You should pick Daisuke first. He is coming off a great rookie year, and will learn a lot from it. Plus, Pedro has had season-ending injuries the last two seasons I'm pretty sure.

2-You should pick Randy Johnson. Dontrelle Willis killed my team last year. Randy Johnson just might have one more year up his sleeve.

3-You should pick Clay Buchholz. He did better in the minors and majors than Hughes did. Plus, you can't forget Buchholz's ho-hitter.

4-You should pick Oliver Perez. Both of these guys usually have a close to a .500 record, but Perez will give you more Ks.

    GOOD LUCK!

You have some pretty obvious match-ups here, but some other factors play in...aka keeper league or not.

Dice-K over Pedro no question. With his first year under his belt Dice-K will be more comfortable and dominate. He almost led the league in K's his first year.

Willis over Johnson. Detroit Offense, no need to say more.

Hughes vs Bucholtz. This one is very tough. I give a slight edge to Clay, for two reasons. Phil is coming off injury problems, and Clay is younger. Also, I have seen Clay pitch through the system and hes going to be a stud pitcher. He's already thrown a no-hitter as a rook. Hughes hasnt proven anything yet.

Hudson over Perez. I like oliver alot, but tim udson has nasty stuff in his routine. NYM have a better team, but Hudson is the better pitcher.

    Dice-K easily

Johnson - has more upside, I don't think Willis is anything more than a spot starter for fantasy purposes

Bucholz - better minor league numbers and looked great last year in bigs

Perez - more risk but more Ks (like 50)
