How do I measure the size of a Lemond Reno road bike?

I measured from the base of the seat to the middle of the pedals and it came out to 51cm, which is their 2nd smallest size, I'm about 6 feet tall and that size just didn't seem right. Am I measuring it correctly?

Most common is the center to center.

If you're around 6 feet tall, you should be on a 58-59cm frame.
