adding to canned refried beans?

although im aware that some cheese on top is never bad, what do you do to fix up your refried beans from a can? we just dont eat enough of them to make from scratch. i always end up throwing half out. thanks for the help!

    Add lime juice and some fresh cilantro. Picks up the flavor. You might even sautee some onion in a couple of teaspoons of oil first, then add your refried beans, lime juice and cilantro.

    Dip

    2 (8-ounce) package cream cheese - softened

    1/2 (1.25-ounce) package taco seasoning mix

    1 cup sour cream

    1 (16-ounce) can refried beans

    1 (12-ounce) package shredded Mexican cheese

    1/2 cup fresh chunky salsa (from your grocery's deli section), drained

    1 (2.25-ounce) can chopped black olives

    tortilla chips

    =============

    Cream together the 1st three ingredients, set aside.

    Spread a layer of refried beans in the bottom of a swallow microwaveable dish.

    Top with a layer of grated cheese

    Heat dish in microwave for 1 minute or until cheese is slightly melted

    Top with drained salsa

    Garnish with sliced (or chopped) black olives

    Top with the seasoned cream cheese/sour cream mixture.

    Serve with a bowl of tortilla chips on the side

    commence to lay them there corn chips flat on baking sheet spread that there pace picante sauce all over them there laid flat corn chips then thin the refried beans out sew as to involve each chip then sprinkle that good ol' chedder cheese and a few them there halopinos pre heat oven to 350 bake for 12 to 15 minutes cheese is melted and golden brown dollup sum sour cream and enjoy

    sometimes i take the taco meat and mix some in and the use that in the taco or as nachos. maybe some jalapeno peppers or green chilies. maybe some salsa mixed in and use it as a bean dip for corn chips, even when i buy the small can, i seem to have left over beans

    layer it with salsa and sour cream for a dip....for nachos

    or wrap it with some veggies in a crepe...

    crepe's are easy to make and you can really wrap anything in them

    I'll add taco seasoning, chopped and sauteed onions or peppers, salsa, and of course--CHEESE!!
