Do highschools and universities even offer typing classes anymore ?
I swear I spent four years in a typing class and was still "hunting and pecking"--- and in about one month on the internet- I'm like Evelyn freaking Wood on speed ! I don't know any young people who cant type or text ridiculously fast--do you ?

Well, you can thank that typing class for getting the keyboard basics down right. You'd never get to the speed you're at now without the basics you learned in the classroom.
I've had a few people who worked for me that used the "hunt and peck" method (they never had a keyboarding class). Trust me......they were deficient in their skills and speed.
So, yes typing classes are still available and necessary.

they do but they dont expect anything more than the basics. its mandatory after a year and the rest is optional.
