How can a best friend call the police?

Question

My husband and I are friends with a couple. We have known each other for over 10 years. The wife of this couple was hired to babysit for us. After 4 monthes she calls the police and accuses us on calling her at all hours of the night. The police can't find any record of someone calling them, so nothing is being done. Why would anyone do that. I had told her if she found she couldn't watch my children to call me and I would find a differant sitter. All I can think is she is crazy. What do you think?

I don't let her watch my kids after that. I called and fired her right away.

I think she really needs help because if she claims that you are calling her at all times of the night either it's in her dream or she is just mentally crazy and personally i would get my children away from her a.s.a.p or else she might start getting crazy around your children and doing things with out realizing she's doing them. So deal with it the way u need to deal with it because this is just an opinion.

Be calm and try to talk to her privately. Ask her why she did that rediculous story,what is she trying to prove. Be honest to her,let her do the talking and be a good listener. Nothing will be settled if you will show your madness to her. Maybe she needs help and this is her own way to get your attention. After all, she's your friend for long time. Perhaps, you were disappointed with what she did, but only forgiveness is the only  answer to make you feel better. You can do it!

Sounds like she just wants to get you two in trouble, especially if the police couldnt even find records. 

I wouldnt let someone like that watch my kids again...prob end up telling the police she found bruises on your kids and that you starve and abuse them.

Have you asked her way she did it?

she's crazy! find someone else to watch your children. That isn't healthy for your children to be around. friends or not it's about the children not your relationship. Good luck.

And you still going to trust her with your kids??  Talk to your kids first on how they think of them first.

And than I think its better if you 2 could try talk it through.....

Of course if not, start to keep a distance from them will be safe move...
