My Mother isn't with me anymore , but she was a natural cook, she made the best fried chicken you ever ate, she could whip up a meal in no time flat and out of anything, wish I could inherit that from her.

My mom's potato salad is the best I've ever had, hands down. Nothing fancy, just the regular ingredients: potatoes, eggs, Miracle Whip (never mayo!), diced onion, and seasonings, but it's just wonderful.

My sister and I both live in the same city about four hours away from our parents, but whenever we visit or they visit us, she always makes some, especially during the summertime. They'll be here for Easter next month, and I'm already looking forward to it. :)

Porridge for sick days- mine never taste like hers and hers are awesome!

Of course part of it is b/c she cooks it, and then spoils me rotten letting me do absolutely nothing except watch TV when I have a case of the sniffles. Haha, that's probably a reason why those porridges rock.

My mom is Korean and she makes lettuce wraps.

    1. Take a big piece of red leaf lettuce and place a bit of white rice

    2. Add beef bulgolgi and red pepper paste

    3. Add a think slice of raw garlic

    4. Wrap up and eat like a burrito

    Very addictive.

    Her spaghetti!

She would make it from scratch and let it simmer on the stove for an hour. When she wasn't looking, I would dip some fresh San Francisco sourdough bread in it. Of course, she knew that I loved it and would have it every weekend she had visitation rights.

my mom was a very smart woman and a great mom, but her cooking was horrible. Most of her stuff was hardly edible.

My grandma, on the other hand, made the best pastries and bagels in the world.
