What are your thoughts on these UFC 84 "rumored" fights?
BJ Penn vs Sherk
Keith Jardine vs Wanderlei Silva
Lyoto Machida vs Tito Ortiz
Rashad Evans vs Thiago Silva
I think Penn retains honestly,a focused and ready BJ Penn is the most complete fighter next to Anderson Silva but he hasnt seen strength like Sherk eventhough I cant stand him and I'm diehard Penn it's a real tough test but again look how he disposed of Stevenson.
I think Wand goes to town on Jardine truthfully, you think Alexander worked him over wait till he comes in on Wandy
Machida will destroy Ortiz, next to Penn and Spider he might be the next most complete fighter, where ever the fight goes Machida has him out-matched,he thought Chuck was a handful just wait for this
And honestly I'm not a believer in Rashad,I think he's overrated and Silva just disposed of Houston when he looked unstoppable and he's a Chute Boxe fighter, yeah we have'nt seen much but with that being said I think he can come out on top and no boring controversial decision, this guys a Chute Boxe fighter
I totally agree, good BJJ will always beat wrestling just look at the Mir - Lesnar fight, wrestlers only help them out by taking them down, good point

as far as i know all the fights listed except for the rashad-silva fight is confirmed, & it looks like it's gonna be another monster card for the UFC.
my picks:
1. BJ will defeat Sherk, but Sean's definitely gonna make BJ work for it. I won't be surprised if it's gonna be a split decision, but i'm pulling for BJ.
2. Wanderlei confirmed the Jardine fight, & i'm pretty sure he'll make Keith sweat out this win (if he does win). but, Wand does want to bounce back from the Liddell loss, & i'm pretty sure he's training hard. i'm picking Wand on this one.
3. After watching Lyoto stop Sokodjou, i'm sold on him. Tito's gonna have a hard time with Lyoto on the standup, & he'll be decent enough on the ground to avoid the GNP.
4. Shad's gonna have a hard time with Thiago. I'm pulling for Thiago.

Penn
I think he'll take this one with a decision, but Sherk may give him some trouble and a run for his money. But IF Sherk can drag the fights into later rounds, his chances of winning will greatly increase. He is capable of keeping a fast pace and Penn didn't prove his cardio had improved with his last fight. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Sherk won.
Wanderlei
This man is the epitome of MMA. I'll always pay to see him fight, win or lose, but I just can't see him losing 4 in a row. Now that he is training with Randy, hopefully he'll be able to learn how to use the cage to his advantage and come up with a good game plan.
Machida
Tito is past his prime and Machida is one of the best LHW in the UFC.
I'm not sure about this last fight. I really haven't seen Rashad or Thiago fight too much, so I've got no idea who might win.

I think this is an awesome card if it happens. I hope Penn beats Sherk because it is pathetic to hear Muscle Head cry about "his belt". Machida is a great fighter but I will pull for Tito, even if he is past his prime. Jardine vs W. Silva doesn't interest me much. Jardine will get K.O.'d.
I am with you about Evans. Thiago Silva is a real contender at 205 and he will put a loss on Sugar's record. Rashad is an above average fighter but I think Thiago Silva is a better all around fighter. BJJ vs Wrestling? I think BJJ has an advantage and so does Thiago.

You know what I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that i think Sherk is going to surprise quite a few people. I still am not totally sold on Penn's wind.
Wanderlei Wanderlei what can you say. I love watching this guy fight, win or lose.
Machida will destroy Ortiz, i agree, and many people just don't give machida his due because of his style of fighting. I'm very interested in watching this fight
I have to confess i'm not interested in watching rashad silva. I'll watch, but i don't really care about it either way.
