Great Fight. Lets look at what we have first. We have two guys, both with hearts the size of Texas. Neither is a KO artist and both have good stamina. One fighter HAS only one Gear and the other CHOOSES to use only one gear. How can you not have a good fight?

The few fights that come to mind are Tyson-Holyfield 1 and Ali-Frazier 2. Frazier has a slightly better punch and Holyfield has a slightly better chin. Again, it spells WAR.

People think Frazier is this KO artist. Dont let that fool you. He can knock you out but its usually the result of his "Outlasting'' his opponent. Holyfield is also not a One Punch KO artist.

Its hard to avoid the comparisons between Frazier and Tyson. Lets compare. Tyson CAN KO you with one shot. He also has a better chin than Frazier. It stands to reason that, given these particulars and the fact that Holyfiled stopped Tyson, he should be able to stop Frazier. Not necessarily true. While Tyson has a better punch and chin than Frazier, he lacks something Frazier has in abundance. Stamina and Will.

IF Evander took Tyson's best can he take Frazier's? He should because Tyson hits harder. However, he didnt hit Evander as often as Frazier would.

Another fight that comes to mind is the second Ali-Frazier fight. In the second round Ali came close to putting Frazier down when suddenly, for no reason, Ref. Tony Perez stopped the fight. He later said he thought he heard the bell. Its ok Tony, the hearing is the SECOND thing to go.

Keep in mind, Frazier was NEVER the same after the FIRST Ali fight. He would not have been so easily shaken before that fight. While he won the battle, he Certainly lost the war. Both fighters were damaged from that fight but Frazier clearly lost more than Ali did. The other reason this fight comes to mind is that Holyfield hits a little harder than Ali. If Ali nearly stopped Joe, what would Holyfield do? Again, Frazier was never the same after March 8, 1971.

The Holyfield who stopped Tyson vs the Frazier who decisioned Ali. That's the fight we want. Holyfield would be the boxer here, though he's not going anywhere so Joe wouldnt have to search for him. Evander would land the most punches early on and swell Joe's face. By round 5 Frazier's face would already show signs of wear.

This is also when Frazier begins to crank it up. While Tyson began to slow down at this point, Joe would kick it into high gear. Forget the fact that his chin isnt as good as Tyson's. Frazier's chin isnt That bad. Also, Evander, for all the ''body beautiful'' he displays, isnt a KO artist. Evander would win 4 of the first 5 rounds. He would also refuse to back up. He would test Frazier and attempt to break his will.

Frazier would close the distance and not allow Holyfield room to punch. While Tyson didnt pressure Holyfield, Frazier will. Holyfield would welcome the ''chest to chest'' war. Frazier would take 3 of the next 5 rounds. He would test Holyfield's chin. Evander would pass that test.

In the 11th Frazier would finally get Holyfield's attention with a big left hook at ring center. This would be the only time during the fight that either man is seriously hurt. Evander would survive and there would be no knockdown.

This fight boils down to 3 stages. Frazier would take the last stage of the fight, rounds 11-15. Here is where he catches up from his earlier deficit. Holyfield continues to fire back but his punches have a little less steam than in earlier rounds. Because he doesnt have to search for Evander, Frazier is able to score well in the last 5 rounds, winning the final two and splitting the others on the cards.

At the final bell, Frazier seems slightly fresher.

    The scores are very close.

Frazier by close unanimous decision in 15

I'd go with Evander. Holyfield's got better boxing skills than Joe Frazier. He's stronger, as his amazing physique would suggest, and definitely faster than Frazier. He's the epitome of the modern fighter, with high tech training techniques and a more scientific approach to fighting. And while his punching power is underrated, he knocked out several guys, including Tyson, so there's no reason why he could not put down Frazier.

Frazier, as we all know, was like a bull in the ring. He'd come at you, bobbing and weaving - never mind getting hit - until he could unload that famous left hook that put down Ali and a lot of big guys during his time. Unfortunately, that's about all there is to his talents as a fighter - that left hook. Of course, Joe's got a BIG heart, but so is Evander, who like Ali, could also take a punch.

In a 12-round fight, I'd say Holyfield would win by unanimous decision.

Both fighters were no doubt warriors and gladiators in the ring and very tough. Frazier was good enough to beat Muhammad Ali and had arguably the best left hook in boxing history. Holyfield rose from cruiserweight to become heavyweight champ bulking himself up with the help of personal trainer Lee Haney and beat such notable fighters as Riddick Bowe and Mike Tyson. Frazier would apply the pressure which was his style and Holyfield would be willing to trade. Both fighters had a lot of determination, heart, and will to win so I wouldn't be surprised if both men took a trip to the canvas in this fight. Somehow I think that Joe would eventually wear down the tough "Real Deal" Holyfield and stop him in the 11th round of an exciting and hard fought fight.

This would be very, very close. Both guys have different techniques, but similar styles - very busy, tough, very sturdy chins, about the same size, it would be a terrific fight. You have to give the edge in power to Frazier, speed and quickness to Holyfield (maybe a little more versatile too).

I think Holyfield's speed could control the early rounds, but Frazier would eventually start walking through Holyfield's flurries, and start landing that left hook. The middle rounds would be Frazier's, it would probably come down to the 11th and 12th - I could see Frazier catching him and putting him down, I don't think a KO, but I think Frazier would take a very close decision (split maybe).

From a spectator's point of view, this would be one of the greatest heavyweight matchups ever.

Frazier. His always attack and always moving forward style would had gave Holyfield problems and would eventually ware Evander down. Evander didn't possess enough power to knock out Frazier and would have to depend on a decision. I say Frazier by KO in the 9th or 10th rd.

It would be a good fight. Both have a ton of heart. At their peak as heavyweights both were in the 205 -210 range. Physically they are even.

I think the key would be Joe's head & body movements. Joe was constant motion. His head went side to side & he moved at the waist up & down. Tyson didn't move anything like that after he left Rooney. I think the constant pressure would wear down Holyfield.

I like Frazier in a great fight by dec

Evander was great but got hit too often to have beaten Joe Frazier. KO by left hook from Frazier.

    Holyfield would win by decision.

Frazier was similar to Tyson in his boxing style, except Tyson was faster and had power in both hands yet Holyfield handled him pretty easily.
