When I was younger, I hated my real name. I preferred it's shortened version. But now that I'm grown up, I realized my parents couldn't have given me a better name. It's sophisticated and very female ;-)

oh u bet!!!
there was a time though when i didn't like it much and resorted to shortening it...
but well, time is a good teacher.. finally i had the sense of realizing how good my name actually was.. and oh the best part is... i googled it.. it seems no one by my name is there on the net at least... :-) that was a great feeling...

Fortunately I do!
My parents wanted to name me after a saint, so they chose one who's feast day was nearest to the date I was born.
It could have been something horrendous!
