You did not really explain this clearly, however, let me state this:

First Cousins would be any offspring of two siblings. Let's call that level B <---> S (like a brother and sister). Each one of them has a child, we will call "A". So now B has child "A" and S has child "A". They are FIRST COUSINS.

Now each "A" child grows up and now has a child of their own, which we will call "B". The relationship of child B to child B under each original sibling is a SECOND COUSIN.

That's a direct relationship. Now if you look at what each A would be to each B child, and vice versa, you can say they are FIRST COUSINS ONCE REMOVED...however maybe Wikipedia can explain it better:
