    my fave is corelle ware

    been around for years

    and the product is awsome

    reason :

    having children, i see that they dont break as easily as some of the other brands out there...

    It depends on the style and the amount you want to pay. The English companies (Wedgwood, Spode, Doulton) make things in both traditional and contemporary lines, and so does Noritake. The sky is the limit when it comes to price, so it's best to shop around.

    the ''made in china brand'' must be the best its stamped on every dish in my house.

    I like dishes from pier one. They make them nice and thick. They make nice serving dishes also.

    How much do you want to spend? Do you want something very fragile and expensive for status or a good sturdy, durable set that looks nice and will last for years? The answer depends upon your answer to these questions.

    Noritake has cute patterns.... and pretty durable...

    I like the patterns in Pfaltzgraf, but they chip easier....
