i have a 2004 chvy aveo with 13000 miles and the check engine light jst came on. any ideas what it might be. I know that many times it is the oxygen sensor.
I checked the cap and it was tight. I opened and closed it again to be sure, and I cycled the key but it is still doing it. I called O'Reilly but they said that they did not do that

Advance, autozone, etc... will pull the cose for free. After that post teh code number and any problem you are having.
Could be as simple as you left the gas cap off etc...

tighten your gas cap and then cycle your key on off on off...about 10 times and the light should go out
