I need help all of you pc geeks. I recently was given a new pc with win 2000. On my old PC, I have win. 95 and MC Office 2000. Is it possible to transfer the Office 2000 software to new computer? If so, what do I do and need. Thanks for your help.

you can transfer by taking the registration code from the old computer, then taking the office 2000 cd (download by torrents, if you dont have cd) and installing it on the new computer and using the code to register it.

google "registration key retriever" to get a software to get the code from your old computer.

No, it's not possible, you would need the installation discs but this may not even be the best option because Office 2000 is relatively old.

Try Open Office, a free alternative to Microsoft Office and is completely compatible with Office programs.

OpenOffice.org is a multiplatform and multilingual office suite and an open-source project. Compatible with all other major office suites, the product is free to download, use, and distribute.

Cannot transfer. You will need to use the same key as was used in the old PC and re-install from the original CD.

If you have a licensing problem or activation issues, you can call Microsoft's licensing department and explain your scenario.

    Good luck.
