MS Word 2003--Removing header from page 1?
I created a nicely formatted document with the header starting on page 2, and a wider margin on page 1, which is what I wanted. When I went back into the document to add a couple of lines to page 1, all my subsequent page margins went back to the page 1 margin settings and the header appeared on page 1. What is the best way to deal with this? Thanks so much!

You need to have 2 sections so that you can format each one individually.
At the end of page 1, insert--->break--->section break (in your case, select 'next page').
Now, click on your headers:
in section 2 (which starts on page 2) click on the "link to previous" icon on the header menu, and make sure that this header is NOT linked to the previous section - you will be prompted for response.
in section 1, (ie page 1) you can remove the header.
good luck.

You place one header on page one for only page one.
On page 2 you make a header for page 2 and all subsequent pages.
