internet explorer 7?

i have windows xp sp2 and I downloaded the explorer 7 for xp sp2 and installed it. When i click on the explorer I get the message that it has to close down. and it closes down. What is really going on? Any help would be appreciated

    Yeah, it sounds like it's crashing for some reason. Go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall it, then go to Windows Update to reinstall it. If it keeps crashing after that, I dunno what to tell you; would need more details.

    The best thing to do here is stop using internet explorer.

    Get firefox.

    www.firefox.com

    its free and way better than internet explorer. Just download it at a friends house and burn it to a cd if you can download it at you house. (since you will need a browser to get to the download page)

    if you downloaded it from microsoft site nothing unless you got it somewhere else?
