Active directory group containers (In AD "manage users and computers", under the domain server - create a managers container (OU), graphics OU etc - put the corresponding users into the desired containers.
create a folder on the server for each faculty (e.g. c:\graphics) - for a graphics folder allow managers and graphics containers to access the folder (right click on the folder and click "sharing & permissions" - assign read, write, execute permissions for the graphics OU and managers OU that you created earlier)
e.g. however for a "development" folder. The managers and development OU would have read write execute permissions, while the graphics OU would either be not listed in the groups able to access the folder or the would be listed however they would have strict "DENY" permissions.
etc.

You need to divide your users in the active directory into groups. You have a managers group for the managers and the graphics group and whatever other groups you need. Then give the groups rights on the folders that need it. Right click on a folder, go to security and assign the groups from there.
