My sister's friend went to a Hillary rally in Texas and overheard someone saying "We need to vote twice"

I came up with 3 possibilities for what they were talking about.

1. Does Texas have a primary and caucus?

2. Or were they talking about getting Hillary nominated so they could vote in the general election as well?

3. OR, were they being typical Clinton supporters who like to cheat?

Which do you think it was? Or was it something completely different?

Update:

I'm a Huckabee supporter. No Mac or Obama.

Here in Texas, we indeed get two primary votes. We also have early voting in all elections. A voter casts a ballot by early voting or on primary day, March 4. A certain number of delegates will be designated according to those votes. At 7:15, after the polls close on March 4, those who choose can attend a precinct caucus (open to all who voted in the primary). At the caucuses around the state, voters cast another ballot, discuss issues, and select a percentage of delegates to attend the Democratic convention in Denver in late summer. It's a strange system, but we're ready to have a voice(s) in the primary for a change.

There is a primary and a caucus in Texas.. you have to vote early for the primary, then attend the caucus that night to give your full support.

This is easy. Texas voting is a combination of primary and caucus'. You can vote in the primary and, if you are up to it, you can also vote in a caucus which is held later in the day. The delegates awarded during the primary are separate than the delegates award during caucus'.

They have a primary and a caucus in Texas so they have the opportunity to vote twice. Everything is bigger in Texas so they get two votes.

I almost thought you had a sensible and interesting question there for a minute..UNTIL I saw the really childish statement about Clinton's and cheating... boy you Obama supporters or possibly McCain supporters just never get tired of beating on her do you. you should be ashamed... you whine and cry if anyone says a thing about your boy.. but Hillary seems to be open season... I am ashamed of you.

I still have memories of a Marquette U student bragging on national tv that he had voted for Al Gore more than one time.

Number one is your answer. They can vote twice in Texas

  • Wow, I can not believe you would generalize Clinton supporters, grow up. You do vote 2 times, once for the primaries and once before the president is chosen.

Your sisters friend should mind her own business and stop eavesdropping. #3 shows what an idiot you are stereotyping people who vote for one party of another is what morons that don't know enough about their candidate's platform do.
