The current exchange rate is about $1.05 to around $1.10 Australian to each US Dollar.

This morning the US$ was equivalent to our 96 cents so it's nearly the same. Depending on the airline, it could cost anywhere from $200-$500 from Brisbane to Melbourne. Go to Webjet.com.au and they'll give you a look at price comparison. Then go to the individual airlines like Jetstar, Virgin blue, Rex, Mac Air. It's very expensive travelling in Oz
