i would say navy so that when you are on a ship you can have time to work on what ever you want to work on

To the person who answered the navy would be less likely to be in a combat zone. Not true. My husband is in the Navy and is a navy corpsman. He goes with the marines. He has been to Iraq three times with marines and once to Japan with the marines. So it can go either way depending on the job you do in the Navy. Navy isnt all ship deployments. I say go where you think will benefit you more. What kind of job are you looking for? Navy has more technical jobs too. It will be hard to obtain a college degree on deploy. especially in a war zone. The troops are lucky when there internet is up and running. Most of the time it is down. Well good luck in life and the choice you make.

Navy if you are looking for a better way to recieve educational benefits. What you have to remember is that both are technically the "Navy", because Marines Corps is a Department of the Navy. But from what i have heard from the recruiters, Marines are grunts and riflemen generally first, and everything comes after that. With the Navy there is less of a chance that you will be in a combat zone and you could instead be deployed to a surface port ship where you could take courses to get a degree

It will be difficult to get a degree on duty, because the mission is always first. Your best bet is to see which branch of the Navy is offering the most money for you when you're done. I always admired the Navy, because it's a much harder buck than the Army. I've never understood anyone that would join the Navy to be a soldier.

I am a former Marine. Your education is the same. All branches give you the same amount of money. Any branch of service you have to take the ASVAB. This will tell you the jobs that you qualify for. All Marines are not Grunts. If your not a Grunt you will go to MCT/ Marine Combat Training then to your MOS School. To re-up your contract the bonuses will be right about the same. Depending on your MOS you can be on a 6 month float and can take classes there or if you remain state side and take classes.

I would say navy mainly because there's more navy personal around then Marines so you shouldn't have as big of a workload as a Marine. Also I think Navy gives you more money for College.

which would benefit you really depends on kind of person you are and what your wanting to do with your life.
I know the ships have professor's on them so you can take a few classes while deployed but that's far far from getting your degree and Internet isn't reliable enough to risk on line classes. both navy and marines would have access to that
if what your really wanting to do is get that degree at the same time your better off with the air force.

The Marine Corps, and besides if you wanna get a degree while in the service, just get a POG (Personel Other than Grunt) MOS.

if you want a college degree go air force, free cleps and stuff and colleges at bases along with short deployments
