Why do liberals flock to jobs like acting, TV journalism, teaching and news reporting?

Because they know it's easier to destroy a nation from within via jobs that influence public opinion.

The common thread is opinion-shaping. They have a passion for acquiring influence by the easiest and most effective methods. Why aren't they copied? The system is self-sustaining in that it tends to lock out those with a non-liberal position (you go for an interview and your potential boss is a liberal; you only get in by stealth). You have to go so far as to start a new channel to provide a significant opportunity for other opinions.

I have had a theory for some time that those in the more artistic fields, such as actors, artists, musicians, etc. all have brains that work differently than the rest of us. It is their very artist bend that makes them see things in abstract, non-realistic manners. They thrive in their fields because they are able to transcend reality and see and accept things in a more fantasy driven manner. The same thing that allows them to create music, paint abstract canvases, build totally different characters over and over, is what makes them substitute fantasy for reality and insist that it is reality. They just see things different from the rest of us who live in the true reality.

As for the teachers, and journalists, they are all college indoctrinated into the liberal point of view early on, and also belong to powerful unions which demand an allegiance to leftest concerns. While there are those in all the various fields who are exceptions to the rule, and think with more conservative viewpoints, they are so outnumbered in their chosen professions, that they are pretty much silenced in order to keep a job in their field of choice.

My personal opinion is that it's because liberals tend to be immature and emotional. These are careers that enforce that. Seriously, teachers are given a great vehicle for the "Peter Pan" syndrome and Hollywood is like high school with money.

The definition of a Democrat today is narcissism. With nothing bigger than themselves to believe in -- not God, not America and typically not children which a great many do not have for one reason or another and those who do typically consider them nothing more than playthings ala Madonna or pawns in their political activities ala Rosie O'Donnell. It is not a coincidence that one of the groups most likely to vote en mass for the Democrats are unamrried, childless women and children themselves (college kids).

With nothing bigger than themselves to believe in they become their own gods. And jealous gods at that. Jealous of those who would give their service to things like Jesus or America or their children. Their efforts are expended, then, trying to undermine others' belief in the things that take reverence away from them.

It's not surprising, then, to find so many of these narcissists are found in positions that basically demand "look at me!" "revere me!" "I'm like a god!!!"

So you'll find them larger than life on the giant movie screen, and bringing you "the truth" on the nightly news and being in position to lecture to the children in classrooms where they are they only ones to give voice to their beliefs.

Ronald Reagan was an actor. So was Charlton Heston. So are Bruce Willis, Tom Selleck and James Woods.

I don't think the majority of the pundits at Fox News are libs.

Teachers are nurturers who like to help people and be involved in their lives. That's typical of libs. Why criticize that?

most actors and other people you see in the news have to say they are liberal so the media makes them look good. if people in the media thought that a star was conservative, they would be trashed constantly, or at least not given the treatment other "stars" are given.

A strong belief in factual reporting and a sense of checks and balances . I know that's hard for some to understand .

Well, for one thing, not all actors, journalists, teachers, or reporters are liberal. However, it seems that the more creative or intellectual a person is, the more likely it is that he/she will be a liberal. I suppose that being exposed to different groups and viewpoints often has that effect.
