Anyone have Peanut butter, or a Corkscrew?

Bella Luna

Tuscany at midnight, moonlight over the arbor.

From the balcony, crystalline waves shimmer

as waxen leaves reflect.

Amethyst clusters hang ripening;

sweet, looking like so many gems

waiting to be gathered.

Come dawn, with night receding, stolen by the Sun,

warming and releasing fragrances so well nurtured

by the nights subtle chill,

I will be as pleased to see, but miss the mystery,

of that brief, so cherished essence,

Bella Luna.

Update:

Thank you to all who "Get it" certainly the PB and corkscrew were the abstract hook, though related to the Amethyst clusters hanging (Grapes) and I enjoyed the piece but perhaps shouldn't have shared it publically.

It's what I do,,, the writing at least, even when narrowly directed. Thanks again.

How very romantic. Amazing how such slight shift can be so mood changing. The piece is 'moving'. Remember dancing in the moonlight? ;;)

So poignant, and so sentimental. Really beautiful imagery, as the poem moves through the pre-dawn hours, creates a romantic mood. I had such a sense of being there.

As for the peanut butter and corkscrew- yes, of course.

    Thank you.

Waving a corkscrew, peanut butter...all out, sorry!

Loved your 'Come dawn, with night receding, stolen by the Sun"

Loved your poem! The words you chose are so colorful! I can just see the waning of the night. And I have both peanut butter and a corkscrew ;D

How wonderful. I would get off the balcony and go down near the waves to watch the sun come up. Thanks for the mini vacation here.

Peanut butter sandwiches and wine? Make it dunkin donuts and a shared bag of bacon cheese fries and you definately got a date. LOL!

  • Ooooh! So obscurely beautiful...your poem did not fail to disappoint the high expectations your abstract headline offers...
