To Asian girls who are in a serious relationship with a Caucasian male.?

I'm asian and I recently started dating this guy who's white. Things are going ok, but i found out that he has a "thing" for asian girls. I asked several of my asian girl friends, and they said it's just a personal preference so it shouldn't bother me. They also said that most guys think that it's "cool" to date an "asian chick", so i can forget about finding a guy who doesn't have a racial opinion (good or bad) about asian girls.

My question is that do any of you asian girls think that being with a white guy who has a "thing" affect the quality of your relationship? or should it bother me? also, is it true that guys want to date asian girls for fun, but marry a girl of the same race in the long run? i just don't want to invest too much if that's true...

    Sounds like he has an asian fetish to me. You may be just another conquest.

    Interesting enough, all my asian friends often stay away from the white guys who have a "thing" or an asian fetish for asian girls. I agree with the answer-er who suggests you should ask him how he feels about white girls. To have a preference (like liking your hair or body) is another thing but targeting any asian girl (who we know do NOT all look the same) is just not a preference anymore but rather a stereotypical-racial thing.

    i dated an asian woman and it was great. if the guy has that preference, look at it as if he had a preference for "black hair." it's just a preference, meaning he has a type. but looks are just one part of an attraction. dont worry about it, he probably loves your personality too. dont worry be happy. lol.

    I hate to break it to you, but all you have to do is ask him what his opinion is about white girls and you'll learn about how he sees Asian girls.

    Asian women seem to have more respect for white males than white women, my opinion.
