I went straight to the horse's mouth so to speak and went to the Actimel website to check out what they had to say on the matter: http://www.actimel.co.uk/your_questions_answered.p...

Firstly the Actimel website states that: "Actimel is suitable for pregnant women provided it forms part of a varied and balanced diet."

With regards to young children: "As 'kids' is non-specific term we state from age 3 upwards to clarify it is not a baby food." So not to be used to directly feed your child. But i think that one is pretty obvious.

In regards to safety kellymom has this to say: Various probiotics have been used safely in infants (including premature infants), children and adults for many years. Many of these probiotics are found naturally in the GI tract. Some people who take more than 1-2 billion active cultures per day experience mild GI upset (thus the suggestion to start with a lower dosage and increase after a week or so)."

I would therefore not feed your child Actimel until they are 3 but with regards to drinking it yourself whilst breastfeeding, i think would be relatively safe - or at least that is what the research points to.

Like with any foods, if you or you baby has any bad reaction then stop immediately.

you ought to attempt soaking the fringe of an extremely sparkling wash cloth in a touch water and allow her to bite and suck on it if you're extremely in contact-this would also help with teething soreness too. have you ever tried providing water or juice on a spoon?? from time to time this may artwork, if no longer think about to dilute one in all her bottles to say: 6 scoops of formula, 7 oz. of water on a daily basis for some days to set your concepts at relax. good luck xx Sorry-in basic terms to make sparkling, i replaced into suggesting that you water down ONE bottle to set your concepts at relax-there is not any way on earth that this may do any variety of harm to a touch one which is taking all of her widely used milk with a touch water added.

Sure. It is great for you and the baby. I recommend one a day for all my moms, pregnant and breastfeeding. They are great for older kids to drink themselves after weaning or 12 months. Whichever comes first.

Cant see why not - check with your midwife or health visitor first though - just in case!
