How is the Mall of America?

I was wanting to take a trip to the Mall of America with my sister around October or November and from the looks of it I'm looking at $800ish for flight and hotel. Someone said be prepared to spend alot of money. How much would you take? $800ish is alot of money. Maybe the prices will go down between now and then. :-)

$800.00 is a lot of money just to go shopping. I can't see planning a trip just to go to MOA unless it is cheap. As someone else said, that is not the place to go bargain shopping!

As a local: Been there, done that, don't care if I ever go again. Shopping is better in Roseville, Valley Fair is a much better amusement park, and there are thousands of great restaurants in the metro area. If you are planning a trip to this area, come for the other attractions (there are many)

The Mall of America is a neat experience; I'm not certain it would be worth $800. It is only a few hour drive for me - so it's more economical.

It was neat to see the first time - and they don't have sales tax on clothing. So that is a plus. I have found that the shopping is more expensive than a normal mall. They have lots of variety though. There are a million stores! (Ok, so that's an exageration.) I've never found exceptional shopping deals at the Mall of America. The food is rather expensive too.

    Good Luck!!

Been there? particular, I stay approximately 7 minutes far flung from the MOA and pass there a minimum of two situations a week. this is a chilled place to be. There are 2 distinctive nutrition courts and a good number of unquestionably eating places. Nickelodeon Universe (until now Camp Snoopy) is enormously relaxing too. considered one of my well-liked areas of MOA is human beings observing and socializing. this is an extremely valuable ecosystem. The shops cover a style of categories of individuals besides. while you're a woman there's an excellent continually 21. this is an incredible save and that they are continually having revenues and restocking with new issues. continually 21 fairly has 2 flooring itself, plus a reasonably super adult males's section too. In precis, i think of this is an incredible place to pass to. 520 shops. 50 eating places. us of a of america's best indoor topic park. PLUS the mall has no revenues tax on outfits or footwear.

I love the Mall of America! It's huge, but they have a lot of variety (with stores and food), and there's an amusement park in the center. And there's no sales tax on clothes, which is a plus. Be prepared to do a lot of walking- there's a lot of ground to cover, depending on what stores you want to go to. I don't know how much money you should take. Last time I went, I think I only spent around $100, maybe a little more. It's a really fun place to go.

Depending on where you are, $800 is a lot for flight and hotel. If you watch you should be able to fly in here for around $200 as we are a Northworst hub and there is competition and deals out there to be had. Now for hotel, I would book my room on Priceline. The only area I ever use Priceline for is the hotels around the Mpls airport and the MOA. If you choose a 2.5 star or better, chances are great the hotel will offer free shuttle to the mall and airport and you could avoid renting a car. I have gotten my rooms on Priceline for like $45 a night at nice places!!!! Just be sure to choose the area around the airport.
